Scope

Northcote College is undergoing a major re-development Project, with staged works. Stage 1 was the Refurbishment works of the ORO space contained within Block A and a Sitewide Fire Alarm System Upgrade. Stage One works was also undertaken by Shakthi Construction Ltd.

Block A; Works included a major refurbishment to the office reception area and toilets, Hall upgrade including new sound and stage lighting, Drama Black box upgrade, with new sound and stage lighting, Music practise room upgrade in basement including acoustic and refurbishment upgrade to the Drama Changing rooms and storage area in the basement. Also included was the construction of Major deck and ramp for accessibility access. In addition to site wide/electrical upgrade that was undertaken, service works also included major internal electrical upgrade, design and installation of mechanical ventilation to the basement music practise rooms, and Drama change rooms, design and installation of air conditioning heating and cooling system to the Hall.

Block F: Works included the deconstruction of existing Girls and Boys toilets, science teacher workspace, storage room, offices and science lab rooms and the construction of new unisex Toilets, Teachers workroom, Bio/Physics Lab, Prep Lab and, Hazchem store. Also included was the fire rating of the ceilings of the existing science labs (2No), science classroom (2No), and access staircases (2No). Services installation included the total fitout of the Bio/Physics Labs and Prep Labs, Installation of Fume Cupboards including all relevant mechanical ventilator and extraction system.
